Anthony Janiec made a perfect start to the European Championship season this weekend in Misano

The Lion Truck Racing driver had scored this first Italian round with times worthy of top European teams that confirms both his performance and the one of his truck.

From Saturday, Anthony Janiec took the start of race 1 on the 3rd line after having assured the 6th time in Superpole. Despite a controlled start where he managed to maintain his position, Anthony had to give up due to a technical problem. The vagaries of mechanics did not taint the motivation of the reigning French Champion who came back to 10th place on race 2 when he started 17th.

Anthony Janiec continued his run on Sunday by signing a superb 4th lap in Superpole behind reigning Champion Jochen Hahn. With a yellow flag start due to the rain, Anthony finished 7th in Race 3 and took a start in the first row for the last GP race. He finished the weekend in style by climbing the 3rd step of the podium and winning the best time record on this race in 2: 09: 436.

A very good omen before Nogaro since Anthony was faster than Thomas Robineau, his competitor in the French Championship: + 1.862 s. in qualifying on the dry and + 3,9 s. in qualifying in the rain.

« I am satisfied with my weekend because we are part of the 6 fastest trucks in Europe which is encouraging for the next rounds of the Championship. We were fast but unfortunately we missed success on Saturday.

Thanksfully we caught up this morning with an excellent 4th times in Superpole. Finally, the race 4 was very complicated on the first laps with my competitors, but always with respect. I am very proud to be on the podium of this last race. »  Anthony Janiec, Lion Truck Racing driver.
