The Marseillaise resounded this Sunday at the Nürburgring after a race 4 perfectly led by Anthony Janiec. It puts an end to 18 years during which the French anthem had not been played in truck competition on the German circuit following the victory of Noël Crozier in 2000.
Anthony Janiec won the grail for all drivers in truck competition: a victory at the Nürburgring in front of 118,000 spectators and against the top European teams!
The Lion Truck Racing driver defended his pole position in race 4 during the 13 laps against Gerd Körber, Adam Lacko and then André Kursim, attacking in turn in his wheels. He has gained 17 points in the FIA ranking and is in 10th position with only 50% of the European races held since the beginning of the season.
Téo Calvet has now made a name for himself in the European paddock with his maturity and racing performance for his first laps in the European Championship. At 17 years of age, he is the youngest driver to have reached the podium of the FIA European Championship with a 3rd place in race 2 at the GRAMMER Truck Cup.
