More determined than ever to keep his French Championship title, Anthony Janiec has regained 3 points over his rival Thomas Robineau (Team Robineau) at the end of the Grand Prix Camions de Charade with 4 podiums including 2 wins.
The tone was set in the 1st Superpole when the Lion Truck Racing driver finished only 178 thousandths behind Thomas Robineau. Anthony then dominated the weekend races, winning races 2 and 3 in particular. Starting 5th at the start of race 2, he showed his talent by overtaking the four drivers who were ahead of him in a single lap. A feat when you know the layout of the Charade Circuit ! Anthony continued his momentum on Sunday by signing pole position, which he defended brilliantly throughout race 2, leaving his opponents with no chance of opening up. Starting 6th in race 4, he finished in 2nd position in the wheels of Lionel Montagne (Team Aravi). Anthony has won 61 points in the FFSA general ranking and remains in second place.
Téo Calvet has been consistent since the beginning of the season and confirms his potential with good lap times. Author of two perfectly controlled races, he remained in the Top 5 after races 1 (5th) and 2 (4th). Téo finished at the foot of the podium in the 2nd wrestling race ahead of Gregory Ostascewski (Team 14). Following a mechanical problem during the Warm up, the Lion Truck Racing espoir rider hit a Charade Circuit wall and was unable to resume racing. More scared than hurt, the truck took the blow and the young driver did not get hurt. His determination is not tainted, however, he intends to redouble his efforts in the last two rounds of the Championship in Le Mans (29 & 30 Sept.) and Albi (13 and 14 Oct.) to regain his place in the Top 3. Téo has won 22 points in the FFSA general classification and is in 4th position.
Also noteworthy is the excellent performance of the mechanics who won a victory in the mechanical event, which completes the team's list of achievements.
