Anthony Janiec is at the 12th position at the FIA ETRC ranking

With only nine of the 32 races in the 2018 European Championship season, Anthony Janiec is ranked 12th overall in the FIA.

The Lion Truck Racing driver has confirmed some worthy European TOP 10 times after his third participation in the FIA European Championship this weekend in Jarama (ESP). This last European round was notably marked by numerous contacts between the European teams taking into account the stakes for 2nd and 3rd place.

Anthony Janiec has indeed signed excellent times at the Grand Prix Superpoles: 8th on Saturday in 1'58''507 and 8th on Sunday in 1'58''133.

Among the victims of a heavy collision at the start of Race 1 which left 5 trucks on the side, the whole team ensured an emergency return to the stand under red flag to change a damaged wheel and allow it to resume the race. Anthony had to leave at the back of the pack in 18th position but he quickly rose 8 places to finish 10th. Following an additional clash on race 3, where the German driver André KURSIM pushed Anthony off the track (Kursim was penalized by a penalty), the team's leaders decided not to start the race 4 so to preserve the truck for the final of the Championship of France but also to let the teams disputing the entirety of the European Championship to fight between them.

Anthony Janiec signs a clear round at the Le Mans Truck Race 2018 !

Anthony Janiec had a perfect weekend, winning 100% of victories after achieving the 2 best lap times at the Grand Prix Superpoles. He did not leave any chance to his opponents with times worthy of the European teams (Superpole # 1: 2'06''192). Starting in the 3rd row at the start of race 2, Anthony came back in 1st position in only 3 turns but it was on race 4 that he achieved a brilliant performance by imposing himself masterfully in front of his rival Thomas Robineau (Team Robineau). He now only has 0.5 points left to regain the lead of the FFSA general classification and retain his title of French Champion at the end of the next and final round at the Circuit d'Albi. Téo Calvet once again confirmed his potential by finishing in 4th position in the 4 races of the weekend, behind the 3 Champions Anthony Janiec, Thomas Robineau (team Robineau) and Lionel Montagne (team Aravi). These good results added to the well-deserved victory of his mechanics in the mechanical event, earned him the 2nd place in the 24 Hours Truck Challenge, tied with his team-mate Anthony Janiec and Lionel Montagne (Aravi team). The Lion Truck Racing team's young hopeful has won 41 points in the standings and remains 4th overall. The Lion Truck Racing team is serenely committed to both finals: European at first in Jarama 6 & 7 October and French in Albi 13 & 14
